It is a hard glassy solid at room temperature, and becomes a transparent liquid after dissolution. After long-term storage of the liquid, the viscosity of the solution will decrease due to the slow degradation of the polymer. The main application areas are water treatment, papermaking, mining, metallurgy, etc. According to ionic characteristics, polyacrylamide can be divided into four types: non-ionic, anionic, cationic and amphoteric.
